Distant Worlds

Recommended Posts

In regards to this specific thread.

I must have checked here not long before you posted, and assumed nothing was going to be here.

I don't check here often as I'm completely disinterested in WoW regards that now and that's the majority of what's here.

I still want you to be my friend. I'm upset and frustrated because with me having posted the announcement of Distant Worlds in Discord on Monday as soon as it was announced, Nik and I then started organising what dates people could make and discussing possibly bulk-buying tickets, having tagged you in and not realising that despite being a member on the server that you wouldn't receive announcements on it, and to then get accused of excluding you. Below is the original post. Obviously the last thing we are trying to do is exclude you.

Will you still be around on Saturday to hang out a bit and join us (hopefully all) for our pre show nandos?

Mark is correct. We want you to join in on discord and we’ve kept the chat on TS in light of your voice issues

To reiterate this... I didn't know you wern't using it and have tried to talk to you a few times on it not realising.

Come join in with us please , we're all the same friends we've always been and this feels like such a stupid thing for us to fight over

Especially with Distant Worlds... You, Lei and I have been to them all.

Not too far, away from this now. Have people started to make travel plans so we can figure out a day plan yet?

Yeah, bought my train ticket ages ago. Will be arriving at Euston at 14:00 on the day.

My tickets for the show just arrived this morning too.

Not sure what the plan is on the day, but I may very well need to get a taxi to the concert hall because I absolutely cannot walk very far. If people want to accompany me and chip in, that would be awesome. Otherwise, they'll be no big walks being touristy for me, so meeting somewhere to chill until time would be cool.

The only thing we'd really planned for was the pre show nandos.

The question is, the one closer to the venue, or Stratford?

Also for those who may not have seen in discord.

Given what Gaz and Lei have said, I would assume that the one near the venue is likely to be the more preferred option?

I assume the logo T-shirts are the ones they seem to have other years (one of the ones I already own), there may be a specific plushie I'm interested in if they have it though.

If there are any pubs in the area, it may also be worth having a place to meet people in advance that is also nearby.

The one near is shit, they always get at least 1 persons order wrong or just forget about it. The time before it was also really busy.

Obviously Nando's has become a 'thing' but I don't mind going somewhere else. I just can't walk for more than about 5 mins >.<
